Anarchy Reigns: Week 6 Recap
Tennessee runs a gimmick offense that goes into a shell whenever it’s not humming on all cylinders. This was a big upset to be sure, but let it be known - Tennessee is a joke.

Good morning and welcome to 4th & Forever, Rand & Tate’s College Football Newsletter. It’s an overused meme, gif, trope but we have to ask, “Are you not entertained?” We came into the weekend with only one top-25 matchup and after Miami’s 25-point comeback that ended at 2:30 am ET we were left with eight top-25 teams falling, multiple field storming, and firemen forced to rescue goalposts from the Cumberland River. And still, people would rather wake up at 9 am and watch mouth-breather Aaron Rodgers face off against Sam Darnold in London over college football. Everyone is entitled to their own decisions and opinions but that doesn’t make them right. What made this past weekend even better is next week’s slate is one of the best we’ve seen in years but before we get there, let’s analyze the craziness that was.
Hurricane Helene Fundraiser
We mentioned it on Thursday but want to make one more plug for our Helene relief fundraiser. Rand’s family friends have been working with West Jefferson United Methodist Church in the mountains of North Carolina to deliver supplies and essential items to those in need. We sincerely appreciate all the donations we’ve gotten thus far so if you’re willing & able we’d love to use our platform to continue helping.
Venmoing either of us @Rand-Fisher or @Tate-Smillie is the preferred method but we also accept Cash App, Zelle, or Apple Cash. Feel free to shoot us a text or email if you have questions and we sincerely appreciate the help and support.

Week 6 Recap
Not One, Not Two…
…but three top-ten teams went down on Saturday in one of the most memorable weekends in recent college football history. And it was almost 4! It started with the most boring one of the bunch, as #25 Texas A&M obliterated #10 Missouri in College Station during the noon slate. Aggie head coach Mike Elko pulled off the Houdini of the weekend by starting QB Conner Weigman at the last minute after Weigman had missed the previous three games due to a shoulder injury and was presumed to miss this one all week. Mizzou HC Eli Drinkwitz indicated he was shocked that the switch was made because backup QB Marcel Reed was serviceable in relief. Even more surprising was Weigman’s actual performance: after looking like complete garbage in Week 1 and seemingly losing his job to Reed in the weeks that followed, Weigman went 18-22 for 276 yards and looked like the 5-star athlete he was projected to be out of high school. It was a dominant performance for A&M and as stupid as I (Tate) felt after they lost to Notre Dame for putting them in my playoff projections, the Aggies are now 5-1 with a very manageable schedule leading up to their season ender against #1 Texas. For Missouri, the problems we highlighted in our preview for this game were prevalent again on Saturday - they just can’t hit explosive plays offensively, so when they run into a team that can slow down their run game like A&M did, they have basically nothing to turn to. We’re officially calling them “MidZou” for the rest of the 2024 season.

And then came the story of the day. The Vanderbilt Commodores came into the game as 23-point underdogs and had not beaten the currently #1 University of Alabama in football since 1984. But as we’ve told you time and time again, including officially naming him as the inaugural 4th & Forever Heisman Winner last December when he was still at New Mexico State, Diego Pavia is not to be trifled with. From the jump, Vanderbilt had Bama’s number. Pavia drove it down to take a 7-0 lead which was followed by a Vandy pick 6 to make it 14-0. When it got to 23-7 Commodores in the 2nd quarter, it became pretty clear we had something potentially special on our hands. Pavia continued to convert third downs and make big plays to keep Jalen Milroe perpetually behind, including one of the plays of the year on 4th & 1, and as good as Alabama’s offense played, they just didn’t have the ball enough to take this game over (Bama only had the ball for 18 minutes!). Something I (Tate) have talked about several times this year is my extreme lack of confidence in Alabama’s secondary, and that came home to roost on Saturday. The Tide have now given up 60 points in their last 6 quarters of football, and the leader of the secondary, team captain Malachi Moore, had a complete and total meltdown on the field at the end of the game. We all knew that Kalen DeBoer would have the challenge of his lifetime dealing with the pressure after his inevitable first loss, and losing to Vanderbilt is as extreme as it gets. But Vanderbilt’s triumph is more deserving of the spotlight than Alabama’s loss, so enjoy these videos of Vanderbilt students carrying the goalposts down Broadway and into the Cumberland River. This is what college football is all about, and what makes it the greatest sport on earth. Even Lane Kiffin had to take it in.

Simultaneously, the national title rematch was happening as #10 Michigan was largely getting their ass kicked out west by national runners-up Washington in a game that…apparently some people watched? Washington, who had already lost to Washington State and Rutgers, came into this game as a favorite which is extremely ridiculous and the reason we’re not taking this too seriously. Michigan is confirmed bad and is clearly experiencing one of the most jarring coaching downturns in recent memory in the absence of Jim Harbaugh. Several times in this game, including late in the contest, Michigan came out in the most perplexing defensive calls we’ve ever seen. At one point with eleven minutes left, Michigan brought 6 on a blitz against a trips-right look, with two guys playing zone (??) on the weak side and their other defenders, of which there were two, also playing zone on the trips side with one of those safeties playing deep over the middle of the field… and the Wolverines gave up a first down. What??? This was a top-ten “upset” but we refuse to treat it as such because Michigan is more of a top-forty-level team. Truly a joke of a performance yet again from Sherrone Moore’s squad who at this point is turning this team back into the mid-level Big Ten squad they were before Harbaugh arrived.
#4 Tennessee followed up Alabama’s shocking loss by going out to Arkansas to take on the Hogs, and boy did things not go well for them. Arkansas was able to blow up Tennessee’s run game from the jump and consistently forced Tennessee’s star QB Nico Iamaleava to stand and deliver which Tennessee was unprepared to do. The Vols went into halftime down 3-0 and were lucky to not be down more, and while they did come out and take a 14-3 lead early in the third quarter, they simply were no match for the morally superior Hogs. Arkansas QB Taylen Green kept coming up with big plays over and over again, and even when Green went out with an injury in the 4th quarter, Tennessee could not get the stops it needed against backup Malachi Singleton to get the job done. The national media would have you believe this was one of the most shocking upsets in recent memory based on Tennessee’s #4 AP Poll ranking, but here’s the truth about the Vols: they have finished with a losing record in eight seasons since 2008, and haven’t even appeared in an SEC Championship since 2007. They’ve had wins vacated by the NCAA in recent years, their best season in recent memory (2022) was highlighted by a blowout loss to a bad South Carolina team, and they run a gimmick offense that goes into a shell whenever it’s not humming on all cylinders. This was a big upset to be sure, but let it be known - Tennessee is a joke.

Lastly, while not a top-ten team, #11 USC went on the road and had their true “Welcome to the Big Ten” moment, losing to Minnesota 24-17. USC quarterback Miller Moss threw three interceptions to a Gopher defense that had him in hell most of the night. Minnesota continuously put USC in uncomfortable positions offensively and the Trojans refused to respond. We still think this team could be good in this league, but for the first time in a while we’re watching a USC team without a Heisman-caliber QB throw the ball to much less receiver talent than they’ve had in the past, and that’s a dangerous combo in this league. USC was never going to be a playoff team in our opinion, but they need to get back on track to keep this thing from spiraling, and quickly.
Around the Country
Cal kicked off the day with one of the best College GameDay’s in recent memory. The signs were hilarious, a kid made a field goal for $700k, and Marshawn Lynch reminded us he has not and will never change. The game on the other hand was on a different level of insane if you could stay up for it. midway through the third quarter, Cal led 35-10 thanks to Miami’s defense being a sieve. Then Miami and Cam Ward reminded the country why he is one of the best QBs in the nation. One Miami’s next four possessions he led touchdown drives of 75, 75, 70, and 92 yards as Miami came all the way back to win 39-38. It’s the second straight weekend the U was involved in a controversial, late-game call where the ref’s actions or in this case, inactions likely won them the game. With less than two minutes to go Cal QB Francisco Mendoza took off to try and get a first down to ice the game and was hit by a UM defender that looked like targeting to some. The refs reviewed it and deemed it a clean hit, Cal punts, and Miami immediately threw a 77-yard pass and punches in the game-winning score. Was it targeting? Did that Virginia Tech player catch it last weekend? It’s hard to say especially when slow motion distorts our perception of the play. When you’re playing a top 10 team maybe Virginia Tech should’ve figured out how to effectively run a two-minute drill and Cal shouldn’t have blown a 25-point lead in the second half. Don’t put yourself in a position for the refs to make a coin-flip call, win the game on your own accord.

Elsewhere in the ACC, SMU and Clemson beat Louisville and FSU respectively as both offenses have shown exponential improvement from what we were forced to watch in August. Miami, SMU, and Clemson don’t play each other but if they all end up undefeated we’re going to have to brush up on our tiebreaker rules for who gets to go to Charlotte. Unfortunately for the greater public, we cannot forget about Pitt who moved to 5-0 after beating UNC 34-24. QB Eli Holstein is erratic but definitely fun but they’ve got a pretty tough second half of a schedule. Virginia remained unbeaten in ACC play after taking care of Boston College and while showing signs of life under Tony Elliott is a marked improvement from where they’ve been, they have four games on their schedule against currently ranked teams. Last but not least Georgia Tech knocked Duke off the mantle of unbeatens with a 24-14 win and exposed Duke’s offense as the paper tiger we said they were for weeks.
There wasn’t much to write home about in the Big 12, as most of the league’s best teams were on a bye. #16 Iowa State took care of business, beating Baylor 43-21. Our takeaway here is that ISU is really good while this quitting performance from Baylor probably sealed the deal on the inevitable Baylor firing of Dave Aranda, who is now 2-4 this year. Heads up, this may come sooner than later as we wait to see who will be the first to the coaching search race. West Virginia went on the road and beat Oklahoma State 38-14 in one of the most embarrassing losses of Mike Gundy’s Cowboy career, not because WVU is bad, but because OSU was expected to be a potential playoff contender and now has three losses (and should have four) at the beginning of October. Texas Tech surprisingly beat Arizona to move to 5-1, Kansas lost to Arizona State, while UCF lost to Florida which is never cool. TCU head coach Sonny Dykes is in the midst of one of the oddest coaching arcs in recent memory after losing to a bad Houston team at home, having made the national title game in year one and then proceeding to suck for the last year and a half. We have no idea what to make of that.

We’ve covered basically everything in the SEC above, but outside of the craziness, #12 Ole Miss beat South Carolina 27-3 in a game that was never really competitive. Still, we find it hilarious that the Gen-Z youth seemingly cannot hold back from firing fake guns at their opponents despite the fact that it’s a 15-yard penalty every single time. Here’s 5-star freshman Dylan Stewart unloading his clip on Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart for really no reason at all. It’s beautiful. Keep fake shooting people, young ones. Florida avoided the worst embarrassment in program history by beating UCF 24-13, and neither of us had eyes on this boring game so we won’t bore you with details. I (Tate) also refuse to type “Florida highlights” into YouTube so this is all you’re getting on this game.
Elsewhere, we have an OFFICIAL 4th & Forever declaration to make: Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty is our official 2024 Heisman winner. Nevermind that there’s still 6+ games to go, this is clearly the best player in the country and somebody that you should be attempting to get eyes on whenever you have the ability. Jeanty now has 1,031 yards and 16 TDs on 10.9 yards per carry and is consistently impacting his team’s ability to win games. Eyes were on him as his Broncos took on Utah State and on his first play of the game, he did this. This is a Todd Gurley, Saquon Barkley, dare we say Barry Sanders level talent (sorry old dudes, we’re saying it) and you are missing out by not watching his college career when you have the chance. Hand him the Heisman now.

While we know that nobody really cares, we want to make a point to call out UAB again. We have been critical of their hire of Trent Dilfer since it happened, and we continue to be proven right over and over again, most recently with Saturday’s 71-20 loss to Tulane. This was a joke of a coaching search that landed on Dilfer, who again had never coached anything but the head coach of a low-level high school team, only due to personal connections. We talk a lot about teams being on “quit watch” in this newsletter, but we’re ready to declare UAB as the first team that has officially quit in 2024. The Blazers’ players were seen laughing and eating snacks on the sideline as Tulane ran up and down the field on them, while former interim coach - who UAB famously did not hire in order to hire Dilfer - took UL-Monroe to their most impressive start in recent memory, beating 4-0 James Madison to move to 3-1 on the season. Absolutely pathetic, UAB. Make a change.
Speaking of things you don’t care about but we’re obligated to mention because we’re sickos, look at the ending of the UConn-Temple game. Temple, who is vying to be the worst FBS team, was at the goalline down 3 points with 3 seconds to play but fumbled and UConn ran it back 96 yards to win 29-20. If you bet the over/under on this game please seek immediate help for more reasons than one but it closed at 49.5. Temple may have a tough fight against Purdue for the worst team in the country. Earlier in the week, the Boilermakers fired OC Graham Harrell to try and inject some life into their anemic offense. After a 52-6 loss to Wisconsin, there are serious concerns with the trajectory of this program under second-year coach Ryan Walters. It doesn’t make it better than rival Indiana is 6-0 after beating Northwestern 41-24 under first-year head coach Curt Cignetti. Ohio State will step into the spotlight next week when they travel to Eugene but please don’t forget about their freshman WR Jeremiah Smith who routinely makes catches like this one:

Random Final Thoughts
Remember when QB Jayden Maiava was a stud at UNLV last year and then portaled and committed to UGA where he clearly was not going to play and then a day later committed to USC where he also was not going to play and now he doesn’t play? Speaking of UNLV, you’re weekly remember this guy’s name come NFL Draft time so we can say we told you so is WR Ricky White III. UNLV lost to Syracuse in OT on Friday night 44-41 but now that White has a QB capable of throwing a forward pass in Hajj-Malik Williams, he is balling. In the two games with Williams under center, he reeled in 20 catches for 262 yards and 3 TDs. He’s already blocked 2 punts on the year and that’s what will truly make him an NFL GM’s dream.
Everybody has been quick to point out that in Big 10 conference games where the teams are located at least 2 time zones away, the visiting team is 1-8. Why doesn’t that same standard apply to the ACC? Is it because the visiting team when Cal and Stanford have played a least two time zones away are 5-2?
Whenever there is a weekend full of upsets in college football, everyone immediately points to 2007 and wants to compare the seasons and manifest whatever year it is can be as bonkers as 2007. Don’t get us wrong, we love upsets, field stormings, parity, all of it, but can we stop with the 2007 comps? Nothing will ever be 2007 and that’s fine, we can still appreciate it but we don’t want to take away from the current season just because more top teams aren’t losing. Maybe NIL, the transfer portal, and the 12-team playoff will make the 2007-esque season the norm and not the aberration, but let’s enjoy our current season for what it is and not wistfully think we can have 2007 version 2. This is going to be insanely hypocritical but while we’re on the topic we have to remind you what happened in 2007 and why it’s the white whale of college football fans, right?
App State beat Michigan, Stanford and Jim Harbaugh beat #1 USC, Pitt beat West Virginia to keep them out of the national championship, Arkansas RBs Darren McFadden & Felxi Jones knocked off #1 LSU in 3OTs, Oregon QB Dennis Dixon tore his ACL and the Ducks faded from the national championship picture, Missouri knocked Kansas out of the title race but couldn’t beat Sam Bradford and Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship, Tim Tebow arrived on the college football scene, and we can keep going but instead here are some more stats per the NCAA:
A ranked team lost to a lower ranked or unranked opponent 62 times during the regular season
Top 10 teams lost 29 times
The No. 1 team lost four times
The No. 2 team lost seven times, all in the final nine weeks of the season
The No. 1 and No. 2 teams lost in the same week three teams, including in Weeks 13 and 14
Multiple top 10 teams lost in the same week in nine of the 14 weeks of the regular season, including five top 10 losses in Week 5
Holding Ourselves Accountable
Tate’s Great Picks: Last Week: 3-3 - Season Record: 25-22
W - Texas State -13.5: beat Troy 38-17
W - Ole Miss -9: beat South Carolina 27-3
W - Clemson -14.5: beat Florida State 29-13
L - Tennessee -13.5: lost to Arkansas 19-14
L - MidZou +2: lost to Texas A&M 41-10
L - Miami -10: beat Cal 39-38
Not great, but not terrible! A couple of weeks ago I told you all it was the most confident I’d ever been in a collection of picks, and this past week was maybe the least confident I’ve ever been. Honestly, not much to write home about - two of the top ten favorites just did not even come close to covering, and that’s more on them than it is on me, dammit! MidZou was clearly the worst pick of the weekend, I did not anticipate Conner Weigman becoming Tom Brady while he was out due to injury. What can ya do. We’re still over .500 and have been quite profitable so far this season, so let’s keep it going.
OnlyRans: Last week: 3-6 - Season Record: 20-32
W - Syracuse +7: beat UNLV 44-41 in overtime
W - Navy -10: beat Air Force 34-7
W - Clemson -14.5: beat Florida State 29-13
L - UCLA @ Penn State Game Total over 46.5: Penn State won 27-11
L - Tennessee -13.5: lost to Arkansas 19-14
L - Midzou +2: lost to Texas A&M 41-10
L - Miami -10: beat Cal 39-38
L/L - Michigan +2.5 and Game Total Under 41.5: lost to Washington 27-17
I really, really need to stop betting on over/unders. I went back and checked and I am 2-8 on the year in my game total bets which is statistically improbable yet impressive. I lied, I won’t stop making those bets so now you know a good fade angle. How in the hell did an over hit in a game Michigan was playing in? Oh, it’s because they threw a pick on their side of the field and Washington kicked a field goal with one minute remaining. Meanwhile in Crappy Valley (for me at least) UCLA went for it on fourth down at the PSU 12 and 23-yard lines and turned it over on downs. Love the aggressiveness, but only when it helps my bets. My double-digit upset pick was Baylor over Iowa State and after being down 14-3, Iowa State rattled off 40 points to the Bears 7. I swear that I almost put down Houston over TCU (-16.5) but I was scared off by the fact Houston was shut out by Cincy and Iowa State in consecutive weeks and of course, they rack up 361 total yards and hang 30 on TCU to win by 11. I don’t count close or almost but I don’t have much to hang my hat on otherwise. OnlyRans will continue to be back and quite frankly doesn’t really care about this showing because…
Wake Forest & Georgia
(2-3) Wake Forest 34 - (3-3) NC State 30: As Wake beat writer Conor O’Neill often quips on Twitter, “Rock bottom is a fluid concept.” I don’t know if State just hit it but it certainly has the potential to get worse before it gets better for them. Hell, Wake fans were there just last week following the loss to Louisiana but I was confident that we were not as bad as our record showed. So how did State hit rock bottom and Wake add yet another bananas, improbable, and underdog win over the Pack in the second-longest continuous rivalry in the FBS? I’m glad you asked because I’d be delighted to tell you all.
The day started inauspiciously when rumors circulated before the game that QB Grayson McCall would get the start over CJ Bailey. McCall was the wonderboy transfer from Coastal Carolina but due to injury and eye-gouging performances, he was benched for Bailey. Wake had reportedly been planning for Bailey the entire week so McCall being thrown in there at the last minute made me uneasy. Unfortunately, on State’s first drive, McCall tucked it and ran and got blown up by three Wake Forest players. He fumbled, his helmet popped off, and he was likely knocked out cold in what was an incredibly scary scene. Thankfully, he was released from the hospital and is doing ok and we are very grateful for that. Wake returned that fumble to the State 2-yard line and because McCall went into the fencing position the medical staff was on the field before the play was over. Wake was celebrating in the endzone which drew the ire of State fans who started booing and chanting “Fuck Wake Forest” so loud the broadcast picked it up. If State fans think that the Wake defense was aware that McCall was down 70 yards away while a live play was going on and taunting the injury then that’s the most irrational coping mechanism of an excuse I’ve ever heard. Also, State’s entire offense was running down the field trying to tackle the Wake guy anyway. It’s football and unfortunate things happen, but you don’t just take a knee during the play because someone’s injured. Ridiculous behavior and I can’t believe I have to justify it.
Back to the good stuff, Wake took a 17-16 lead at halftime but on Wake’s first possession of the second half, QB Hank Bachmeier got strip-sacked and after a missed FG by the puppies, came back out and threw an interception. 4 plays, 2 turnovers, and 1 very dejected fanbase that collectively thought this was the beginning of the end. State couldn’t capitalize immediately but found themselves up 10 early in the 4th quarter. Again, the word inauspicious would accurately define the mood of the Deacs fanbase at the time. With 7 minutes to go down 3 now, Wake had the ball at their own 35 and while it wasn’t the “The Drive” that John Elway engineered, it was pretty damn close. Behind RB Demond Claiborne and two fourth-down conversions to WR Deuce Alexander, Wake milked 6:06 off the clock and punched in the game-winning TD with just over a minute to go. State threw an interception on the first play of their next drive and Wake fans celebrated while some State fans booed and threw water bottles at the Wake band. Classy behavior considering at halftime the Wake & State bands did a joint show where they played Amazing Grace and promoted fundraiser efforts from Hurricane Helene.
So let’s recap what Wake did in Raleigh this past weekend. Claiborne left the Louisiana game last week after dislocating his kneecap but racked up 136 yards, 2 TDs and was the engine of the offense the entire game. Bachmeier was held to 154 passing yards on the day which was 85 yards less than his previous low. Our best WR Donavon Greene was out with injury so redshirt freshmen Micah Mays and Deuce Alexander had to step into elevated roles. Our starting DB Davaughn Patterson was ejected for targeting on the first drive which led to reshuffling in the already depleted secondary which was missing a starting CB Capone Blue due to injury and our best DT Kevin Pointer too. Finally, and most impressively, Clawson trusted his guys to go out there and win the game instead of kicking the short field goal to theoretically force OT. Wake fans wouldn’t quantify Clawson as an aggressive play caller by any stretch of the imagination but when it was winning time he said we’re going to win or lose this game on our terms and it worked. Hell of a day, hell of a win. Go Deacs.

This ended up being a Deacs touchdown
(4-1) #5 Georgia 31 - (2-4) Auburn 13: Man, just typing “(2-4) Auburn” felt really good. Georgia has now beaten Auburn in 18 of their past 23 contests, haven’t lost to them since 2017 which we avenged three weeks later in the SEC Championship Game, and haven’t lost to them in Athens since the 1-point loss in 2005. Truly beautiful stuff. We’ve started to kick their ass so consistently that the crowd on Saturday was very lethargic expecting a beatdown, enough so that Kirby called out the fans after the game. That has sparked some conflict amongst the fanbase and even in the national media, with some blaming the outdated game operations and music, and others calling out the fact that ticket prices have shot through the roof with no real change to the gameday experience. I’d like to make it very clear that I have no issue with what Kirby said - the crowd was awful on Saturday and it’s nobody’s fault but the fans’. We’ve come to expect complete and utter domination at Sanford Stadium to the point where we’re picking and choosing when we want to affect the game. We’ve seen Sanford Stadium be one of the hardest places in the country to play, like when #1 Tennessee came to town in 2022 and the fans decided it was time to get rowdy. Or 2021 when top-ten Arkansas came to Athens for a noon start - Kirby called us out then, too, and the place was as loud as I’ve ever heard it! Impacting the game and making life a living hell for our opponents is a decision that rests entirely on the fans. Quit complaining about every little thing that doesn’t go right and quit bitching about Baba O’Reilly. Stand up and yell.
On the field, I was mostly happy with what I saw. We started quick offensively and while Auburn did manage to slow the game way down in the 2nd quarter, it never felt like they were threatening to legitimately beat us. I liked the plan on offense - we distributed the ball to just about every single weapon on the team at various points, and Auburn never seemed to know what we were going to do next. Huge game from Trevor Etienne who not only had 88 yards and 2 TDs, but picked up blitzes time and time again to give Beck time to deliver the football. I still have massive questions about both of our tackles in pass protection, and the fact that we’re on our 3rd string center is not ideal. But we seem to be meshing together as an offense more and more as the weeks go on, and in the 12-team playoff world, I’d rather be a team that’s slowly building to its best form than a team who is pulling out all their tricks and peaking early in the season (see: Alabama). The defense continues to look better and better and while there have been tackling issues for a few games, it’s hard to imagine that that lasts much longer considering this team is coached by one Kirby Smart. Good stuff Dawgs, let’s get healthy and iron some things out against Mississippi State next week and get ready for Texas. Auburn sucks.

Tweets of the Week: Sad NC State Fans Edition
“Dave Doeren is now 6-6 vs Wake Forest in TWELVE YEARS. If only NC State had easier academic standards & significantly better facilities, NIL $s, and fan support than Wake!? We just can’t expect to compete with Wake Forest over a decade and a half until you people do better.” - @statefansnation
“End this tenure. Losing to this joke program over & over who has no fan base and doesn’t give an F about football is 100x worse than owning UNC is good” - @Tuckerblanc
“I’m no longer an nc state fan. This football team has half the heart I do. I work my ass off and they fucking lollygag out there. Fuck Dave doeren. Fuck Robert Anae. Fuck ton Gibson honestly. I’m fucking DONE. I hate them all. I think you all suck ass. Fuck you.” -@c0ldslaw
“Any team that loses to Wake this year would be ready to end their season. State should still win 8-9 games and will likely be a game out of the ACCCG again for 3rd time in 4 years.” - @mttlnrd before the game
